Published bi-monthly, 48-page, 9.5” x 9.5”, full-colour, glossy magazine about art, entertainment and culture in Mississauga. Maintained strong community involvement and editorial decision-making. Solicited artists and photographers to produce editorial artwork and selected all images appearing in the magazine. Completed editorial design and layout including art editing, designing client and in-house advertisements as well as all promotional materials for magazine-run events. Curated “The Last Look,” a recurring feature artist section. Curated TELLING, Inside Mississauga’s first contemporary photography exhibition. Redesigned webpage and designed online-exclusive sections. Solicited and selected design interns and art contributors. Edited copy for style, structure, spelling and grammar. Contributed articles including a regular “How To” column.

Colour- and density-correct photographs, ensuring all photos are dust-free, scratch-free and accurately colour balanced. Perform regular maintenance on Frontier and C-41 machines. Exhibit knowledge of cameras, 35mm and digital photography and colour theory. Assist customers with their photofinishing and hardware needs. Ensure staff stays on task. Open and close both store and lab.
