The Canada 20/20 panel is a survey group that’s facilitated by the Innovative Research Group. You sign up, you get email alerts to new surveys, and if you’re eligible to participate you can win $500. The surveys usually cover current events and are your standard survey fare of providing a statement and asking whether you strongly agree, agree, are neutral, disagree, strongly disagree.
I mention this because the survey I got today was about the Federal and Provincial governments, party support, party identification, and a laundry list of values that I think arts people feel strongly about: the arts funding cuts (obviously), same sex marriage, abortion, and the environment.
I’m not sure if you can choose to answer surveys once you sign up, or if you just need to wait to get them in your email, but I recommend signing up and letting your voice be heard on this one. The survey doesn’t have any official capacity (as far as I know) but results are usually used by reporters and journalists and at the end of every survey and in the email notifications, Canada 20/20 publishes the articles in which their statistics were used.
